Customer checkout
The customer selects catalogue items, terms, options, domain operation and currency before reviewing checkout. Placing an order requires a signed-in verified customer with orders.manage. Customer account identity, product restrictions, seller policy, prices, tax and promotional eligibility are validated on the server. A payment return page is not settlement proof.
Customer Orders lists the account's orders and opens their purchased items, billing and delivery stages. Invoices and services retain the original seller/storefront. Staff cannot use a different brand hostname to change the merchant on an existing invoice.
Newer invoice-first checkout
The newer reviewed source opens the issued invoice directly with an order confirmation message and visible payment methods. That presentation requires its matching released core; earlier approved packages may retain the order-details landing screen. See invoice payment choices.
Staff-created orders
Use Business → Orders → New with orders.create. Select the customer, permitted seller/storefront and currency. Review the complete quotation before submitting. The expiring review binds the customer, seller identity, tax, product restrictions and amounts; changes require another review. Manual invoices are a separate workflow and do not necessarily create a deliverable order.
Activate after payment
Open the order and inspect each hold. The selected invoice must be fully settled, the order uncancelled and the service mapped to a supported product/provider. Hosting activation selects the server and its current available package. Domain activation selects the registrar. A domain purchased with hosting follows that server's nameservers; standalone registration requires explicit nameservers and transfer retains its intended nameservers.
The staff activation action performs the selected provider work and returns its result. Locks and durable submission markers protect repeated requests. A provider accepting a request without exact account/domain readback remains pending or requires confirmation; it is not complete delivery. Existing compatible queued activation jobs can also finish earlier queued work.
Recovery and cancellation
Reconcile an uncertain operation against the same assigned provider and resource before another create, transfer or renewal. Do not clear markers, reassign a pending purchase to another registrar or manufacture a payment to unlock activation. Customer cancellation of an eligible unpaid order cancels its related unpaid invoice and undelivered items under the protected cancellation rules. Already delivered resources need their own service workflow. See cancellations.
